No doubt Nigeria has a lot of talents. Talents that can match their counterparts anywhere in the world. And its high time the Federal Government took bright minds like these and invest heavily in them. The developed worlds as we have it today developed themselves by picking sharp minds like these and bring out the best in them. That is why they keep developing keep moving forward. Once a new idea is introduced, they look into it and develop it further.
But here in Nigeria, the reverse is the case. They will consider the person's geo-political zone, his tribe, lineage and umunna, his religion and the list of considerations goes on and on. At the end of the day, politics will enter and the whole idea being proposed will be thrown into the dustbin. We can NEVER move forward as a nation if we claim that we want to.

EBONY STATE GOVERNMENT TO SLASH MONTHLY ALLOWANCE OF CORPER DOCTORS FROM N150,000 TO N15,000.

Whatever reasons that the Ebony State Government has to proffer for this insensitive move is irrelevant. I mean, this is most unfair and inconsiderate. Considering the economic situation in the country, their former pay was manageable but to now slash it down to N15,000? Haba!
This move is going to dampen their work attitude and the Government forgets that these corpers are dealing with human lives. It is not enough to just wake up one morning and pass laws, you need to consider the short term, mid term as well as the long term effect. If the Government is broke, which is the body language of the President, then a slight slash would have been pardonable not this.
A good pay is one of the incentives that motivates the earner to give his best at work. And in the case of these corper doctors, the Government has just opened an avenue for them to engage in sharp practices. Doctors please no carry vex and chook the wrong injection o.
Lest I forget, Pharmacists and Nurses who were earning N91,000 and N79,000 respectively are now to be paid N5,000. Funny but not funny.
