PRETTY MIKE THAT MOVES ABOUT WITH WOMEN THAT HAVE CHAINS AROUND THEIR NECKS.

It's really disheartening when I see women allow themselves be used as personal property or something that is to be treated without any form of respect or decorum. It is painful to see that while there are good decent women working hard out there, there are others that are bent on belittling the value of a woman.

During the week, pictures surfaced online of a guy who calls himself 'Pretty Mike', attending parties with women who have leashes around their necks. I don't know if this is supposed to be a fashion statement or if it supposed to be a subtle message being sent out to women everywhere.

In my mind, these girls in their leashes provoke images of female dogs being taken out for a walk and afterwards, the owner will lock them back inside their cages. I know that money is the reason for this silliness so their best option is to wear chains around their necks in public. On top of that, they feel super hot being handled like that as in, 'this is the new definition of sexy'.

What messages are these people passing on to the younger ones including the society at large? Is it that a man can treat a woman in whatever way that pleases him or is it that a woman should allow herself to be treated like a piece of garbage? As long as the money or whatever benefit keeps coming, then it's fine.

Some will argue that these are all consenting adults and therefore legal. Yes, they are adults but this is so morally wrong. Thank God that the Lagos State arrested him and he has written an undertaking not to do this again.
