So after mass on Sunday, hubby decided to gauge the tyres of our car. We drove into our mechanic's shop while the job was being carried out. A few minutes after we drove in, an apparently angry customer rode in on his motorcycle. It turned out to be that one of the mechanic boys was owing him some money and he wanted the money back. He was angrily demanding for his money back and long story short, the mechanic didn't have the money there with him.
What piqued me were two comments that the angry man made during his tirade. He said,
" Do you think I am mumu Jesu who does not know what he was doing? Do you think I am Jesu who went to die for you people's sins"? Immediately he uttered those words, I was like WT... (excuse my language). who is this guy and what does he mean by the rubbish he just spewed? What an insult to the entire Christendom!!!
That was when hubby told him that he had just blasphemed against Jesus and asked him to withdraw his statement. The fellow, now sober started explaining that the mechanic owed him some money, blah blah blah. And just as quickly as he had rode in on his motorcycle, he sped off again without collecting the money he claimed he was being owed.
I bet you, if their prophet had been spoken of in such a manner, daggers would have been drawn to execute the speaker. A bomb would have also been detonated to show their anger.
We later found out that the man was an Imam! Oh, you are an Imam and you are uttering speeches like these. This is the kind of hate speech that he would be preaching in his mosque and his followers would carry such messages around. Later we start asking why there is so much unrest everywhere. No respect or tolerance for other people's religions and beliefs. And this is so not right.
If A believes that the cow is his god, B should respect that and if B believes that the cockroach is his god and not the cow, cow believer should equally respect that, simple.
